Join the YMCA of Greater Kansas City as an Aquatics Program Coordinator at the Cleaver Family YMCA in Kansas City, Missouri.  Help deliver high-quality swim programs, special events, and daily pool operations that create a welcoming experience for all.

 

In this role, you’ll support aquatics programming, maintain participant records, assist with department operations, and help ensure a safe and positive pool environment for members and families. This is a great fit for someone with aquatics program experience who enjoys hands-on work, program coordination, and member interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning, some managing, and implementing of all departmental programs and activities.
  • Assists and participates in marketing and special events.
  • Assists in managing the departmental operations.
  • Assists in interviewing, scheduling, disciplining, and supervising qualified staff.
  • Maintain records of program participants.
  • Assists in staff meetings.
  • Be a team player with all associate.
  • Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.
  • Assist in providing leadership of the Annual Mission Campaign.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of aquatics, recreation, or related experience.
  • Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner.
