The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Multi-Site Coordinator (MSC) to lead youth development programs within the Blue Valley School District, including before and after school (Y Club) programs and summer day camp.  In this role, you’ll oversee multiple sites, coach site leaders, and ensure safe, high-quality, and engaging experiences for elementary-aged children and their families.

 

Hiring Range: $47,000 - $54,000

Responsibilities

Lead High-Quality Programs

  • Oversee before and after school programs and summer day camp across multiple Blue Valley sites
  • Ensure consistent delivery of safe, engaging, and high-quality programs aligned with YMCA standards and Y Club framework
  • Coach teams on curriculum, lesson planning, and age-appropriate activities
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor program quality, safety, and participant experience
  • Lead program innovation to enhance engagement and overall program impact

Develop & Lead Teams

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise site leadership and program staff
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Support staff development and build a strong leadership pipeline
  • Step into site leadership roles as needed during transitions or staffing gaps

Ensure Safe & Compliant Operations

  • Ensure compliance with Kansas licensing requirements and YMCA policies
  • Monitor program operations and enforce safety standards across all sites
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and parent feedback professionally and promptly
  • Support mandated reporting and risk management protocols

Support Families & School Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with families and Blue Valley school staff and administrators
  • Support site teams in delivering excellent communication and customer experience
  • Assist in resolving concerns and ensuring a positive program experience

Drive Enrollment & Operational Success

  • Support enrollment growth and participation goals across assigned sites
  • Assist with accounts receivable processes and follow-up on balances
  • Maintain organized and efficient program operations

Support Seasonal Transitions & YMCA Initiatives

  • Lead staffing and program transitions between school year and summer camp
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training during peak seasons
  • Contribute to YMCA campaigns and association-wide initiatives

Qualifications

  • Meet state qualifications for a licensed program director (KS and/or MO; 100+ capacity)
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Three years’ experience in youth development or after school programs. 
  • A working knowledge developmental stages and appropriateness (ages 5-12). 
  • Familiar with current trends in after school programming and curriculum and statewide educational standards. 
  • Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
  • Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
  • Must maintain a current motor vehicle license and acceptable driving record that meets YMCA standards.
