Overview

Ensures a safe environment for all individuals utilizing the outdoor pool and spray park at the Riverside Community Center. This role involves monitoring activities, enforcing safety rules, assisting participants, and maintaining cleanliness in and around the facility. While this position does not require lifeguard certification, the attendant must remain alert, provide excellent customer service, and respond appropriately to minor incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and program participants in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, handling complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Enforce safety guidelines, including rules related to running, rough play, and appropriate spray park and pool usage.
  • Educate members and program participants on safety procedures and intervene when necessary.
  • Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, complaints, needed repairs, incidents, or accidents immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for the facility, including the pool deck, splash park, and bathrooms.
  • Must monitor equipment for proper and safe use; report required maintenance needs and repairs to Aquatics Director.
  • Work with other associates to ensure facility cleanliness and restock supplies as needed. 
  • Provide pertinent information to members, guests and participants on pool guidelines
  • Provide support to Gate Attendant’s in welcoming guests and checking them in.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certifications
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Works effectively with people of different background, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
  • Reflect a positive attitude
