Overview

Responsible for planning, developing and implementing program activities and events for the Youth and Family department under the guidance of the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully plan and coordinate programs and activities that make a difference in the community.
  • Play an active role in marketing and recruiting efforts to attract and engage participants in our program.
  • Help manage the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Contribute to building a strong team by assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and supervising both associates and volunteers.
  • Create and manage associate schedules within established guidelines.
  • Support the growth of current programs to expand our reach within the community, aligning with strategic goals and operating plans.
  • Organize and manage program registrations, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all participants.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
  • Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Participate in staff meetings to collaborate, share ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assists in Y fundraising activities and special events.
  • Notify supervisor or director on duty of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years’ experience in youth and family programming or a related field.
  • Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
  • Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
