Overview

The Multi-Site Coordinator/Manager supervises a small group of sites in for Youth Development Services primarily in the Lee's Summit school district.  This position assists the senior program director in the management within a district including assisting with communication, training, associate and program development.  This position monitors and coaches the site teams to meet Youth Development Services goals and targets while ensuring that children and families are experiencing quality programs and producing positive outcomes for participants.  Supports both summer day camp and Y Club Before and After School programs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision of youth development associates and overseeing program quality at multiple program sites.
  • Coach, model, and support site team in assigned areas such as curriculum and lesson planning, Y Club framework, developmentally appropriate communication, program activities development, creating a safe place for children utilizing progressive discipline techniques and compliance standards with state and local regulations.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring to ensure program standards and safety procedures are followed while communicating any concerns with supervisor.
  • Recruit, supervise, coach and evaluate associates.  Provide ongoing development and guidance while holding associates accountable.
  • Act in place of Site Supervisor or Camp Director during site leadership transition and as needed.
  • Ensure that the program is operated in a safe and purposeful manner, insuring that all licensing and YMCA guidelines are met or exceeded.
  • Model professional communication and provide leadership.
  • Assist in responding to verbal and written complaints about the sites.
  • Ensure high quality programs through innovative program development, evaluations and ongoing training of associates.
  • Assist in preparation and training during transition between school year and camp.
  • Provide support during key hiring seasons with recruiting, hiring and on-boarding new associates.
  • Visit sites on a regular basis, with interaction with both associates and children. 
  • Monitor payments to avoid delinquent fees from program participant and follow the accounts receivable collection protocol should families become delinquent.
  • Provide leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/boards as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Meet qualifications for a qualified director in the State of Missouri, holding a license for over 100 children.
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Three years’ experience in after school programs.
  • A working knowledge of children ages five to twelve years of age, including developmental stages and appropriateness.
  • Familiar with current trends in after school programming and curriculum and statewide educational standards.
  • Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
  • Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
  • Must maintain a current motor vehicle license and acceptable driving record that meets YMCA standards.
