  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Healthy Living Director this position is responsible and accountable for assisting in all aspects of the departmental activities and events. The Program Coordinator is expected to emphasize member service, character development, the mission statement, and to work with healthy living retention and promotion

    Responsibilities

    • Assists in planning, some managing, and implementing of all departmental programs and activities.
    • Assists and participates in marketing and special events.
    • Assists in managing the departmental operations.
    • Assists in interviewing, scheduling, disciplining, and supervising qualified staff.
    • Maintain records of program participants.
    • Assists in staff meetings.
    • Be a team player with all staff.
    • Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.
    • Assist in providing leadership of the Annual Mission Campaign.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 18 years of age.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of three years experience in this or a related field.
    • Healthy Living required certifications prior to start (area of focus:  ie primary group exercise certification or personal training certification).  
    • Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner.
    • Reflect a positive attitude.
    • Able to conduct themselves and duties as a respectable and responsible executive.
