  • Overview

    The Marketing Manager is responsible for client communication, project management and the effective preparation, production and distribution of communications for digital marketing (social media, email, and online) as well as strategic management of other select marketing executions.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in marketing and engagement programs across the organization.
    • Serve as lead liaison to select internal clients, managing strategies and executions specific to their needs.
    • Develop compelling content and messaging to support various platforms including social media, blogs, website and email marketing.
    • Participate in external social media listening, engagement and conversations.
    • Support website development, email, and ongoing online marketing initiatives.
    • Support development of creative executions based on YMCA and stakeholder goals.
    • Coordinate production of print and related materials, including sourcing and working with vendors, to complement online marketing and communication strategies.
    • Develop and maintain processes/workflows that ensure timely and consistent execution and dissemination of information through internal channels as well as external marketing initiatives.
    • Support analytics, tracking and measurement for brand engagement efforts.
    • Ensure that all marketing communications efforts meet Y brand standards.
    • Support other marketing and communications team efforts and events.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
    • Three years’ experience in marketing, communications and/or online media.
    • Excellent written and oral communications, including writing and editing for web.
    • High-level of social media understanding, trends and best practices.
    • Verifiable experience in working with online search, online advertising, and email campaigns.
    • Experience managing other marketing related projects including print and direct mail.
    • Understanding multimedia/multichannel marketing campaigns.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with familiarity with digital software tools; Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Emma or other providers.
    • Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
    • Must have reliable transportation.  Travel around the Greater Kansas City area is required.
    • Graphic design experiences a plus.
    • HTML experiences a plus.
